|Wilkes Acoustic Folk Society Inc. has chosen Mary Vann Johnston from Wilkes County, NC as winner of the 2014 Duncan-Elliott Memorial Scholarship. WAFS is proud to announce three winners this year of the Scholarship to the 2014 Pete Wernick Jam Camp at MerleFest. They are Presley Barker, Benjamin Barker (no relation) from Wilkes County, NC and Willow Dillon from Watauga County, NC.|

The event will return in the spring of, 2015. The free event is held at the historic North Wilkesboro Train Depot on Cherry Street in North Wilkesboro, NC. All ages: pickers, dancers, and music lovers are welcome. This is a family event. No tobacco, no alcohol, and please no pets. Handicap accessible. Free parking.
